Sell tickets to a dinner or a whole retreat week.

The dinner is the easy part. A retreat week is where it gets hard: three room types, an airport transfer, a deposit to hold a place, and a waitlist once the rooms are gone. With Coliven you can set all of that up yourself. Guests choose their tickets on your event page and pay at a Stripe checkout, and the money goes to your own Stripe account.

Can guests pay a deposit now and the rest later?

Yes. Add a deposit ticket and choose how much it takes off the full price. A paid deposit holds the guest’s place, and the credit is applied when they come back to buy their ticket.

What happens when a ticket sells out?

Turn on the waitlist and people can still ask for a place. For a paid ticket their card is held, and it is only charged if you approve them. If you decline, the hold is released. Approval-only tickets work the same way, for gatherings where you want to say yes to each person yourself.

Can someone book a room and a transfer in one checkout?

Yes. Put your tickets into groups, such as Room type and Transfer, and guests can choose one ticket from each group. Everything they pick goes through a single checkout.

Can guests pay more than the ticket price?

Yes. Turn on contributions and guests can add a little extra at checkout, as a percentage of their ticket or a fixed amount. You write the line that says what it pays for.

Can I give some people a discount?

Yes. Create a code that takes a percentage or a fixed amount off, limit how many times it can be used, and apply it to every ticket or only some. A code never reduces a contribution a guest chose to add.
