Coliven is the operations platform for gathering, retreat, and community hosts. Hosts sell tickets, run memberships, take payments, and give their community a page people can find. The directory is how new people discover those places.
Who is Coliven for?
Retreat centres, intentional communities, workshop hosts, and anyone who runs gatherings people come back to. If the relationship between events matters as much as the event itself, Coliven is built for that.
Does it cost anything to get started?
No. Your community page, events, and being listed in the directory are free. Coliven takes 2.5% only when someone pays you for a ticket, deposit, contribution or membership. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
Where does the money from ticket sales go?
To your own Stripe account. Guests pay at Stripe checkout, and the payout goes to the Stripe account connected to the event.
What is an intentional community?
An intentional community is a group that shares values and goals, and organizes day-to-day life around those shared principles. Communities often include governance or clear decision-making processes, plus regular gatherings, mutual support, and collaborative projects.
What types of communities are listed on Coliven?
Coliven is a directory for intentional communities, ecovillages, communes, cohousing and similar shared-living communities, and retreat centers that host workshops and gatherings. Each profile includes location, focus areas, amenities, and community reviews.
How is an intentional community different from coliving?
Coliving typically focuses on renting private rooms with shared amenities in a property. Intentional communities go further: the shared living arrangement is tied to a culture, values, and often an ongoing community practice (governance, shared events, mutual support). Coliven is not a room-booking marketplace; it’s focused on community living and retreat experiences over time.
What is a retreat center?
A retreat center is a place that hosts retreats, workshops, courses, and community gatherings. Some retreats are run by organizations or programs; others are hosted by intentional communities and ecovillages.
How do I find communities near me?
Use the Communities search to filter by location, community type, focus areas, and amenities. Start with your preferred region or city, then open community profiles to compare reviews and details.
How do I list my community on Coliven?
Use the “Add your Page” flow to create a listing. You’ll be able to add your community profile and share details about your events, focuses, and community life so others can discover you.
